The Unarchiver for MAC
Free app that opens almost any archive on your Mac: ZIP, RAR, 7-Zip, TAR, ISO and more.
The Unarchiver Overview
The Unarchiver is a small, free app that opens almost any kind of archive on your Mac. The Archive Utility built into macOS handles ZIP files, but The Unarchiver also opens RAR (including RAR5), 7-Zip, TAR, Gzip, Bzip2 and many older formats such as StuffIt, LZH, ARJ and ARC, as well as ISO and BIN disc images and some Windows installers. It is made by MacPaw and offered free on the Mac App Store.
The Unarchiver also detects the filename encoding inside archives, so files created on computers in other countries open without garbled names. It aims to be the only unarchiving app you need and to stay out of your way. It needs macOS 10.13 or later.
